Visiting John Browns Clydebank in 2023

Until I read this, I hadn't realised the Titan crane hasn't been open for years now. What a shame.

Nice article about the general area and its ship building history, but what a shame about the Titan Crane!

That is indeed a shame - they looked after us well when we visited on our QE2 Anniversary Conference charter in 2017.
Incidentally I am hearing that the Clyde Clipper (the vessel we chartered that day) has been sold out of the Clyde Marine fleet.

Having also been on the 2017 charter visit  - and having lost my camera and photos later that same night - it would be a great shame if the Titan Crane does not reopen again in the future although it is not clear if a definite decision has been made on this - many attractions have taken a long time to reopen after COVID - such as HMS Caroline in Belfast which only reopened again  this week.

Hopefully the Titan can rise again?
