I would like to ask the Captain what were his feelings the first time he took command of the QE2?

I was onboard and his daily announcements and brief speech at the World Club cocktail party gently poked fun at QV with statements like that.  Classic McNaught wit!  There were jokes about us pulling ahead, arriving early to get some shopping done in NYC, and then coming back out to greet QV.

Yes brilliant answer - we were on QV and it sure felt like we were flat out. I remember often gazing over at QE2 - looking every bit the sleek greyhound, hardly out of breath at all........
