Poll for July 2023 : Original QE2 Souvenirs
« on: Aug 04, 2023, 02:48 PM »
The theme for the July Competition, "Original QE2 Souvenirs", was chosen by Bob C.

Please vote for your three favourite photos. This is the tenth competition of the new calendar year, with winning and runner-up photos going towards the 2024 QE2 Story Calendar.

The prize this month is the book by Christopher Wallace, "Final Westbound Crossing", donated by Isabelle Prondzynski.

Voting is easy, but you need to be registered as a Forum member and log into the Forum to vote.  Whether or not you have submitted photos, please support those who have participated, by choosing your 3 favourite ones, noting the details, then tick the relevant boxes on the poll.  If you have entered photos, please do not vote for your own pictures.

To make it easier for you, we have posted the pictures below.

However, you might like to turn to the Gallery Album, "Original QE2 Souvenirs" where you can see them all at once, in thumbnail form. Plus you can view larger versions of the pictures by clicking on the photos to see them in medium size, and clicking once more for large size.

You will not see the results of the vote until the poll closes on 1 September 2023, after all time zones have had a chance to catch up with the voting deadline.

Enjoy the great variety of the photos, and choose your three favourites.

There are so many good photos of souvenirs!  It is wonderful to see them.

Unfortunately I was not home in time to take this photo of my 1969-1979 souvenir collection.  However, I thought I'd share it regardless.  Enjoy!

Only eight people have voted so far and already one photo is in the lead.

If you haven't voted yet, why not take time to have a look and vote for three favourite pictures.

That model looks like the one that could have removable a clockwork motor attached under the hull to propel it along?

We have never had so few voters at this time of the month... Please help to select the photo or photos that will win the prize and may grace the 2024 calendar!
