I have just added a new album to our gallery called 1970 Dry Docking.  This is 10 slides that were within our box of slides that we acquired a couple of years ago now.

I only just realised I had never uploaded these.

This is the link to the new album - QE2 1970 Dry Docking

This is a link to our entire QE2 Box of Slides Gallery

Wonderful! These photos could've been taken yesterday on a digital camera right down to the camera shake in the low light photos. Excellent colour film quality with this batch of photos too.
First sailed on QE2 in August 2003 aged 6 years old. Last stepped foot and sailed on QE2 in July 2008. Last saw the seagoing QE2 in person from the decks of QM2, on QE2's last Transatlantic crossing (Eastbound tandem) in October 2008. Visited QE2, in her new life, in Dubai back in January 2020.

I agree, fantastic to have a set of photos of QE2 1970's dry docking - certainly a treasured find.
I was proud to be involved with planning QE2's 50 year conference in September 2017 in Clydebank
