Don't seem to be many choices.

Thanks for posting the final Transatlantic menus, Robert.  Fantastic set of commemorative menus.

There wasn't a great deal of choice on them as they were set menus but the fuller menu was available should passengers request that. These were more a souvenir Gala Menu and were a very late addition as the budget for the 2008 Cathedral Concert had to be trimmed in order to afford to do these menus - there were four versions of each for the different restaurants.

i can safely say on my table on both crossings we were confused and never ordered from the limited choice menu simply because we thought it wasn't the proper menu. While the decorative menus were beautiful, we never did understand the point of having a menu you wouldn't order from and were very happy to order from the proper paper menu which offered the usual choice. But thanks for clearing that up.

There would have been complaints galore if something hadn’t been done - this was the best solution!

These menus are great, Michael ! Thanks for posting !

Since there are two entree selections on each menu, may we at our table make a choice of entree and post it in the virtual cruise topic ?  :)

Well, let me start with the first day, 16 October 2008 :

I would take :

-- the roasted pepper and cauliflower soup
-- the broiled red snapper fillet
-- and the chocolate mousse

That would be a very satisfying dinner. Presumably followed by coffee and those delicious ship made sweet treats.

I have found that our table companions will be boarding the ship over the weekend. Perhaps we can make our choice from the first menu as we board, and then continue next Tuesday or Wednesday. Are there any objections ?  :)

We got delayed a bit while boarding!

But here is the second menu, Friday 17 October 2008. Please join me for dinner! The choice is limited, but delicious :) .

I shall be happy to go with :

-- the smoked salmon rose
-- the pan fried lemon sole, and
-- the Grand Marnier soufflé

... followed no doubt by the various sweet treats presented on a salver for our table.

This dinner also deserves some wine! Please join me for a sad-celebratory meal :) .

I shall go with the same order as you Isabelle, including the after dinner treats!
First sailed on QE2 in August 2003 aged 6 years old. Last sailed on QE2 in July 2008. Last saw the seagoing QE2 in person from the decks of QM2, on QE2's last Transatlantic crossing (Eastbound tandem) in October 2008. Visited QE2 in her new life, in Dubai, in January 2020 and August 2022.

I need to have a fish choice this evening just to take part.  I will check out vegetarian choice tomorrow.

I will join Isabelle and Thomas in choosing:

smoked salmon
lemon sole
souffle
