I'd known it was coming for a long time as it should have appeared in 2019 to mark her 50th. I have a copy. It is nicely done with lots of colour images.

Here, for your pleasure, is a truly awful article in the Sun about the QE2, which I think might have started out as being about Bill Miller's book, but its hard to tell.

See how many errors you can spot...

I think I lost a few more brain cells! The tabloids never have been the authority on maritime matters after all - to put it kindly!
First sailed on QE2 in August 2003 aged 6 years old. Last sailed on QE2 in July 2008. Last saw the seagoing QE2 in person from the decks of QM2, on QE2's last Transatlantic crossing (Eastbound tandem) in October 2008. Visited QE2 in her new life, in Dubai, in January 2020 and August 2022.

The"Hull of a Voyage" article....why would you need a sleeping bag if the temp was 120 degrees

Some might say with the press is that all you can believe is the price and the date and that's about all.

I received my copy at the weekend.

I'll not do a review, but it's a substantial book absolutely crammed with images.

Many thanks to the QE2 Story Forum for the Queen Elizabeth 2 book by Bill Miller that arrived this morning – an absolute treat which I look forward to reading – it'll bring back memories of happy times on a wonderful ship!

It is always great for us when donating prizes (in this case, Rob) to know that it has been received safe and sound and is being enjoyed.
