Sounds like a good idea, I would be happy to join the chat if we get enough people interested.

I will try and make it, but I am not promising anything!
Thanks though Rob, for putting it together for us.

I should be able to make it. Looking forward to chatting on Zoom again.
First sailed on QE2 in August 2003 aged 6 years old. Last sailed on QE2 in July 2008. Last saw the seagoing QE2 in person from the decks of QM2, on QE2's last Transatlantic crossing (Eastbound tandem) in October 2008. Visited QE2 in her new life, in Dubai, in January 2020 and August 2022.

Unfortunately I am meeting up with a couple of guys from work that evening so won't be able to join. If plans change, I'll be there, but glad to see the zoom calls starting again and hope to make the next one.

Do we have any suggestions for a theme for next Thursday's Zoom meeting.

Off the top of my head I'm thinking about these as conversation starters.  No worries if we go in a different direction.

- Non-passenger places visited/toured on the ship
- Entertainers we've seen performing onboard
- Celebrities we've seen onboard
- Favorite meals onboard
- Travel modes and experiences getting to and from the ship

Sorry Ladies and Gents, I missed it again!
I had every intention, marked it in My Diary and also put a reminder in my phone, something I very seldom do. It was reminding me every hour yesterday until I figured out how to turn it off!

My reason As some of you know I was diagnosed with cancer in 2016, actually Christmas Day 2016. (Hell of a Christmas present eh?)
After extensive chemo (no I didn't lose my hair) and radiation treatment covering some 2-3 years I have been declared cancer free as of just before Christmas 2020.   (Hell of a Christmas present eh?)
My problem now is combating  the cancer treatments and the , (I will be as kind as I can!) complete and utter screw up that my first cancer surgeon made.
On 8th of December, the day before the scheduled call, I was released from hospital after a stay of 5 days to try and fix/combat a large abscess that had developed because of basically, the first surgery/ies. When I got out, I was totally exhausted again, and spent nearly 24 hours asleep. Hospitals over here are not the places to get rest.
Once again I am sorry to have missed  it and apologize  for that.
All I can say, as I said after the others I have missed, sorry Gals and Guys.

Thanks for sharing Rod and it sounds like things are on the mend, which I am thankful.  Will keep you in my wife's and my prayers for complete healing!

Take care Rod, sorry to hear about your recent stay in hospital and as Bob says healing for you will be in our prayers.

The Zoom call did not take place as planned, I am sure you will appreciate that things happen from time to time that result in changes to plans.
