The theme for this month's photo competition is "Technical and mechanical -- any instrument or machine part", chosen by Frazscot, the winner of the June 2020 competition.

Looking forward to lots of interesting details!

Enjoy the search :) .

The prize this month is the DVD "Southampton City of Ships" (photo below), donated by me.

Alternatively, June Ingram is offering a jigsaw of the prizewinning picture. The choice is yours -- which will it be?

How to enter

The album is open -- so now is the time to look for your three most interesting pictures on this theme. Wishing you happy memories as you search your photo collection to find up to three pictures to upload to the competition album.

This link will take you straight there : Technical and mechanical -- any instrument or machine part.

If you have not uploaded photos to the Forum Gallery before, have a look at these instructions, and if you have any problems, just contact us on admin@theqe2story.com. You could even email the photos to this address, and we can upload them for you.

Because of the special December competition to choose the Photo of the Year, you will have extra time to upload your photos.

The deadline for submitting photos is 30 December 2020. Voting will run from 1 January 2021 until 31 January 2021, until everyone's time zone has caught up with the date.

We look forward to seeing your photos in this competition.

This is the second month of photos for the 2022 calendar. Maybe your photo will figure there!

Enjoy yourselves!  :)

This is a theme that should generate some behind the scenes photos, maybe from forum crew members.  Time for all members to put on their thinking caps and find 3 photos "Technical and mechanical - any instrument or machine part"

This month's theme: Technical and mechanical - any instrument or machine part.

Some interesting entries so far but with only 12 entries so far in this month's competition, we need forum members to look at their photo albums and select their three best photos to upload to the competition.

You have some extra time to do this, as voting will only start on 1 January. "Technical and mechanical" can cover very many things, such as cutlery, lamps, lifts, door hinges, etc., so if like me you have never visited the Engine Room, you will still have observed many instruments or machine parts on board. Looking forward to your photos!

The photo competition for Technical and Mechanical - any instrument or machine part, runs from November right through to 30 December, so there is still time to upload your photos to the photo album in the Gallery.

Looking forward to that! Not an easy job I imagine, but very special photos to have captured. Very useful too, at the time, I believe.
