The new incarnation does give a more light and airy feel to the suite.
I was very lucky to sneak a peep inside them on the turnaround day on the 10th of October. l dragged two friends up there . I had always wanted to see inside them for as long as l can remember. Couldn't help thinking back to Alan whicker interviewing Nigel Broakes and the curved sofa.

I am curious as to why the dates on the paperwork are presented backwards?

I suspect the "0" is a typo. The Westbound Tandem crossing dates were 10th - 16th October.
I know QE2 was fast, but her flux capacitor must have been fully charged to arrive 6 days before she departed!

Maybe she reached 88 knots...?

Far from it, every day at sea l felt we were just limping along with a carbuncle for company. there was never a feeling of speed like the good old days .

Are we to assume the bottles at the sinks are water bottles? and if so why ? is the water from the sink drinkable or perhaps no so drinkable, heck is it still even made onboard or piped in from another source.
Not sure l like the big glass wall/sliding door. but l guess that's a personal choice. It allows for no privacy if you're having a bath  , and the bath doesn't look big enough for two if you're so inclined .

Sorry I can't reply as normal to Cunardqueen's above post because of the following (keyword censorship from somewhere perhaps, but why???). I've attached my reply as a word doc screenshot instead. Very odd.

First sailed on QE2 in August 2003 aged 6 years old. Last sailed on QE2 in July 2008. Last saw the seagoing QE2 in person from the decks of QM2, on QE2's last Transatlantic crossing (Eastbound tandem) in October 2008. Visited QE2 in her new life, in Dubai, in January 2020 and August 2022.

Oh blame it on Covid, it seems the perfect excuse for any and everything these days .
Would they or could they ever use the water plant onboard to make their own. Is there any indication that they  dont recommend the use of it as drinking water ? Which also makes you wonder about the ice onboard ? Any thoughts ?
