Queen Victoria / Former QE2 Staff
« on: Oct 04, 2020, 02:30 PM »
I have never travelled on Queen Victoria but I have visited her and met former QE2 passengers and crew on board.  I believe that, due to when she entered service, that she had a high proportion of former QE2 crew, and that former QE2 passengers also found that she offered a similar "feel" to QE2 on board, compared to the much larger Queen Mary 2.

Assuming this was still true at the start of this year when she was laid up - what does the future hold?  How will they re-staff all the laid up ships?  Will any of the former officers and crew return to her?   Did the crew work directly for Carnival or for the Cunard subsidiary?  Whose books are they on?  It will also be chaotic when the ships resume service as presumably they'll all resume service at around the same time... whenever that might be... and assuming they can at some point...

Things will never be the same again, thats for sure.
