Poll May 2020 : QE2's final calls
« on: Jun 02, 2020, 06:11 PM »
The theme for the May Competition, "QE2's final calls" was chosen by Hamburger.

Thank you to everyone who submitted pictures, which we really appreciate. We hope that you enjoy choosing and voting for your 3 favourites.  This is the ninth competition of the new "calendar" year, with winning and runner-up photos going towards the 2021 QE2 Story Calendar.

The prize this month is the DVD "Great Liners -- Famous ships from the golden age of travel", or a 500 or 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle of the prizewinning photo.

Voting is easy, but you need to be registered as a Forum member and log into the Forum to vote.  Whether or not you have submitted photos, please support those who have participated, by choosing your 3 favourite ones, noting the details, then tick the relevant boxes on the poll.  If you have entered photos, please do not vote for your own pictures.

To make it easier for you, we have posted the pictures below. However, you can also view the photos by clicking the Gallery Album, "QE2's final calls ", where you can see them all at once, in thumbnail form, plus you can view larger versions of the pictures by clicking on the photos to see medium size, and clicking once more to see them in large size.

You will not see the results of the vote until the poll has closed on 1 July 2020 after all time zones have had a chance to catch up with the voting deadline.

I am sure you will agree that these photos help us remember the good times when we were on QE2 or able to admire her from shoreside.

As always the choice is yours - enjoy!

Fantastic range of QE2 photos in this month's poll.  It is going to be difficult to choose just three, but I will enjoy the challenge.   :)

Impossible choice.  Please could we vote for all of them....?

In the end, I pretty much ticked three almost at random...

I have had a look at the photos a couple of times but still not made up my mind.  Too many fantastic pictures, but I will need to make a choice.  I agree with Peter they all deserve a vote.  :)

Wonderful turn out of photos this month! Tricky to choose but made my choices!
First travelled on QE2 in August 2003 aged 6 years old. Last stepped foot and travelled on QE2 in July 2008. Last saw QE2 in person from the decks of QM2, on QE2's last Transatlantic crossing (Eastbound tandem) in October 2008 - we had the better view!

Wow!  This will probably be the most difficult month to choose.  These are all excellent photos.

10 voters now, and no clear winner emerging. Many of the photos have not yet been voted for. Everything is open, and we have a wonderful range of choices this time.

Immerse yourself in all these beautiful memories. And then make the difficult choice of selecting just three!

16 voters now, and two photos in a very slight lead. Votes are pretty evenly spread, with many photos still waiting for their first voter.

Be sure to support the photographers who have contributed their photos for us all to enjoy!

18 voters now ! The photos are absolutely spectacular ! If you have not already voted, please log in, look over the photos, make a very difficult decision, and choose your three favourites ! Once you have voted, at the end of the month, you will be able to see what photo is in the lead !  :)

20 voters now, in a month with a great and welcome number of entries. Several photographers have made a special effort to enter during this special month, when we remember QE2's final calls.

Many photos have not yet had even one vote. More voters are needed in order to select a clear winner!
