Does anyone remember this magazine? Just come across this copy when clearing out some cupboards.
This is from July / August 1988 just a couple of months before the herald of free enterprise disaster.

The HoFE disaster occurred just before the QE2 returned to service after the re-engining in April ‘87. New regs were hurriedly brought in regarding WTD to be closed leaving port or in shallow water, which caused some consternation amongst the passengers embarked on 5 deck.

It’s amazing how the mist of time distorts memories . I could’ve sworn it was 88 but hey I’m getting old.. thanks for correcting me 😊
