There will be some more QE2 memorabilia to admire and find out about. If you have an item you wish to show, that would be lovely -- but we also like to have members there to enjoy what we are being shown.

As for myself, I showed pretty much my entire QE2 collection (two mugs and my final passenger card) last time and shall just enjoy being there and taking a look at what others bring.

These Zoom chats bring out the Story in the QE2 Story Forum!

Rushing to look out the daily programmes etc whilst squeezing dinner in!
First sailed on QE2 in August 2003 aged 6 years old. Last sailed on QE2 in July 2008. Last saw the seagoing QE2 in person from the decks of QM2, on QE2's last Transatlantic crossing (Eastbound tandem) in October 2008. Visited QE2 in her new life, in Dubai, in January 2020 and August 2022.

Great to chat tonight about our memorabilia and the ship as she is in Dubai today, relative to her years at sea and the changes over those years at sea, even if we have differences of opinion on some things. The "what if's" with QE2 compared to SS Rotterdam are also a debate in themselves!

I missed the chat too. I was also watching the QE2 documentary on Channel 5. Some members of the forum, Lynda and John were on it. I am leaving a review of the programme on this forum.

The Dubai debate was interesting, as it always is.

I wonder if, between us all, in say 2010, we could have come up with a hotel design that everyone thought was good...

After a lot of debating and some compromise I think so!
