Looking forward to it, they've all been different so far, but they've all been fun.

Is everyone going to be on their best behaviour?

Maybe we should have a formal one sometime :)

Maybe we should have a formal one sometime :)

I have a friend who is using this lockdown time to show off her best shoes on Facebook, another one each day -- and they are all quite fabulous! Maybe another time we could all bring along an item of clothing which we would be wearing for a formal evening on QE2 if we still had that chance...

The meeting has just ended. It was wonderful to hear everyone's QE2 stories and to discuss things as part of those - including in the photos shown, see Lynda's compilation of menus, and to see people's memorabilia. Looking forward to the next video chat.
First sailed on QE2 in August 2003 aged 6 years old. Last sailed on QE2 in July 2008. Last saw the seagoing QE2 in person from the decks of QM2, on QE2's last Transatlantic crossing (Eastbound tandem) in October 2008. Visited QE2 in her new life, in Dubai, in January 2020 and August 2022.

Enjoyed Zoom chat yesterday evening.  It was really interesting to listen to the stories and see the memorabilia.

Thanks for taking time to let me show the slideshow of the 1970's QE2 menus.

I have uploaded the slideshow so that you can view it on this new 1970's menus topic and will add the photos of the menus to the gallery and topic later.

Great to be able to join the call last night - had to jump off during Thomas' slideshow which was a shame.

Enjoyed hearing the stories and seeing member's memorabilia.

Also to put faces to names I have known on the forum for years!!

Nice pictures on the wall behind you too Olivia :)

Just adding a few more screenshots, for the memory bank of these times.

If anyone objects that is in the photos, please just let me know.
