11 years ago today, the forum hadn't started yet, but we were all wondering what was about to happen to QE2, a month after her arrival in Dubai.  The silence was deafening.

I have webcam images from this day, from a visiting cruise ship which docked behind QE2, showing us reassuringly that the lights were still on, and she looked unaltered (attached).

When the forum started shortly afterwards, we carried on watching and waiting which as we all know now, went on for years, but on this day 11 years ago we thought she was immediately going to drydock to be radically converted.

Depends on what version of radical one personally interprets, for me the outcome has been radical considering that she was going to retro fit , well that never happened did it!
