Newsletter article ideas

Hi everyone,

If you have any ideas of forum topics to highlight in the forum's monthly newsletter or any QE2 memories that you think would be of interest please post your ideas below.

There could be QE2 timeline events that you think should be brought to the attention of newsletter readers, or there may be an interesting topic that you think should be highlight.

I am looking forward to hearing your ideas.

I was proud to be involved with planning QE2's 50 year conference in September 2017 in Clydebank

Perhaps a link to key dates or events of that month , try and get the readers to post "We were onboard " and we sailed here in the month of... it would be nice to try and get some more interaction with the outside world.

We have a glorious photo entry system in place, heck even if we got 5 members from out there to post or even vote Imagine being about to pick thee photos from a choice of 40 pics....
Mindyou l must confess l glance over the newsletter , so perhaps lm best to keep quiet... :-X

Was there not a timeline being compiled a few years back? I seem to remember it used some free software online?

Maybe take some topics from it (assuming it still exists of course)

Thank you, Gav! It is good to remind our members, particularly the latest ones, that we have this wonderful resource of the QE2 Timeline :

https://www.theqe2story.com/forum/index.php?board=1.0

If you look at the timeline month by month :

https://www.theqe2story.com/forum/index.php?topic=1789.0

... many of the dates and subjects are underlined, which means that we have an entire topic about the matter. These two timelines (the other being about maiden calls and final calls) are another type of index for a major part of the Forum.

I always find it fascinating to look at a particular month and see what happened then -- such very different happenings in the various years!

Some of the key events are of course also included in the QE2Story calendar -- and again, you are welcome to make proposals as to what events could be included in next year's, which I shall soon start to work on.
