Here's a final couple for this weekend.

We're now thinking of a book... and contacting the Press... watch this space...

That is good news, and delighted to know that the suggestion's being taken seriously!

As well as containing some excellent photographs, together with their own copyright, and very much hoping that it'll be written by yourself and perhaps Flagship too.
The contents and index will be superb!

Oft what a cracker!!

I have not seen a photo of her in Inchgreen from that angle before - cheers Rob!

The BP funnel over the top of the shed is  (if I recall correctly) Swan Hunter built tanker British Argosy (1966) - waiting for the tank cleaning berth.

Are these official John Brown photos? If not who took them I wonder.

I have photos taken in James Lamont & Co Ltd's Port Glasgow and Greenock yards from the mid 40s to the early 70s - they were all official yard photos taken by a local photography company in Greenock.

I wonder if its the same setup for these or whether JB had their own in house photographer?

I have actually, I think, figured out who the photographer is... but I don't want to say yet in public.  He appears to be from a supplier who was working on board installing equipment.

And he no longer owns the copyright?

Tonight's photo is for Rod!

They're both from the same slide.

Believed to be January 1969... somewhere...

I believe not, because I have the originals, and the seller has told me that the copyright comes with them.

That person could almost be Ronnie Bateson!

Speaking of identifying people... how about this... and is that the original wardroom decor?  It looks very modern and stylish - even now I think!

One on the left is Hughie Cameron later to become Chief Electrician, do not know the other 2.

As to decor, yes I think it could be. Curtains were there in 71 when I joined as well as the tables and white chairs. The brown chairs later had flat wooden tops added to the arms.

On the photos that I believe are from the December 68 to Jan 69 trials, this chap appears singing in the Queens Room and double down room. Was he someone famous?

This is extraordinary,  hopefully the seller (?"Crew"!) might like/ be able to join us at a future Gathering :)
Is there anyway that you can convey very many sincere thanks?

And...Waverley, Hi, and Thank You so much, again - it was you who found the gold at the end of the rainbow!
Just wishing we could have a Gathering in the Summer too!
