ER, ok then Chris given you've come clean then I suppose I should also but this isn't gonna do my forum cred any good whatsoever (not that it was very high beforehand)! The Big Fella is called Thomas while the smaller one is 'Perkins' (should be the other way around by rights).  They are joined by another small one from QM2 by the name of...yes, you guessed it, Samuel also (well, not Samuel Also cos that would be plain daft, but rather another Samuel).

I can't believe I'm telling you this but nothing to do with me, I just buy 'em!

Buying bears? What about your old friend at home? Doesn't he come with you?

Does the doorstop QE2 bears count, these were for sale away back in the 80s, never thinking l would back l splashed out and bought 2 QE2 ones and a Harrods one, and thanks to a very good sales assistant. He gave  discounts which lasted a few years ;)
Now if only l could find a blessed way of posting photos

Hi Matthew -
Really hope that you won't mind my asking...
'Is that a silver 'white star' butter dish on the table?'
I think I have a (good) 'thing' about them - spent much time taking photos of them - even!

QE2 had been waiting alongside in Dubai for nearly 12 years.  Please restore her Lifeboats and Tenders to where they truly belong - she looks naked without them - please spare her this ignominy.

If you are referring to the butter dish on the table behind Bluey, it is an everyday QG one. I can't recall if it was specially marked. Most silverware, if not all, wasn't.

Reading this topic, reminded me of my last trip on Queen Victoria, when one of the passengers had organised a Teddy Bear event. Apparently she done this on every cruise and had been surprised at how many passengers brought their teddies on a cruise with them.  Needless to say many of the teddies were from QE2. So next time you are onboard a Cunard ship look out in the Daily Programme for a Teddy Bear meet up.

Does anyone know how many different styles of bears were available on QE2 throughout her career ?   :)
