Cunard's "QE2 Cocktail"
« on: Jul 22, 2018, 01:31 PM »
Introduced last year for the 50th anniversary, Cunard now has a QE2 Cocktail available on board its ships.

I sampled one in the Commodore Club on QM2 last month and.... I have to say... didn't particularly like it!  It wasn't a patch on our own QE2 50 cocktail designed by Louis which I sampled many times at our conference.  However I still enjoyed the experience very much.

I believe our own Lynda was going to try one last night, and I'm looking forward to hearing what she thought of it.

Passionate about QE2's service life for 40 years and creator of this website.  I have worked in IT for 28 years and created my personal QE2 website in 1994.

Hi Rob - I received a text from her on Saturday evening which confirmed she was indeed in the Commodore Club on board QE enjoying a QE2 cocktail!!

Good to see you on Saturday btw.

I did indeed try one for the sail away from Greenock down the River Clyde. It was a good way to celebrate QE2 not far from where she was built.

I had another one when Grill Britannia and her husband joined for drinks on the last evening, which was a nice end to the cruise.

Our QE2 50 cocktail that Davina created is much better as there are more flavours and it was a longer drink

The cocktail on board the Cunard ships had a lot of ice in relation to the other ingredients. But not bad compared to some of the other cocktails that were being served up.  I have to say that sadly there were inconsistencies in the bar staff's cocktail making skills.

I was proud to be involved with planning QE2's 50 year conference in September 2017 in Clydebank

I am not sure June. They should be as the cocktail was within a section of the menu commemorating Cunard ships.
