That is one beautiful ship! I only saw her once, in Dublin port, from a taxi which I was sharing with my Director, who allowed a brief stop, as we were on our way to the airport...

Thank you for the photos!

The first part in series of videos from this couple's cruise on Sagafjord. I have just discovered their YouTube channel and it is a treasure trove with wonderful footage of now gone ships among others, also capturing the onboard sounds without being overlaid with music as is often the case.

First sailed on QE2 in August 2003 aged 6 years old. Last sailed on QE2 in July 2008. Last saw the seagoing QE2 in person from the decks of QM2, on QE2's last Transatlantic crossing (Eastbound tandem) in October 2008. Visited QE2 in her new life, in Dubai, in January 2020 and August 2022.

Wonderful - and you're SO right about the sounds!

Not forgetting at one stage she  Sagafjord was the Number 1 rated cruise ship in the world .
From the moment you first glimpsed the Queen,
you just knew you were in for a very special time ahead.!

Nice one Thomas, never met her, but lucky to have sailed wit her sister as Ruby, the similarities are something else, brings back so many memories & as the say the sounds,  why do ships have to die??
