Another of the great designers has, sadly, "crossed the bar". William Plunkett's stunning furniture graced the Midships Bar and the old Double Down.

Sad news but good to know that he will be remembered through his design work. 

There is mention of his design work in the VADS 1969 Design Journal where you can see a photo of the chairs in the Double Down Room and the Midship Lobby

If I had the money, I'd buy these.

Look at the price, then consider how many of them were on board QE2 originally.  She was chock full of iconic design classics.
