Thanks Alex - it looks like they've had to completely replace the Lido's ceiling - complete with the "sails" that she used to have.  Overall though I think the Lido looks lovely - and the photos of the breakfast offerings are making me very hungry!

Has Signal Deck been renamed 8 Deck? I know the suites started with the number 8, however it would be a shame if the deck itself has been renamed as the deck names are part of her character and uniqueness.

First sailed on QE2 in August 2003 aged 6 years old. Last sailed on QE2 in July 2008. Last saw the seagoing QE2 in person from the decks of QM2, on QE2's last Transatlantic crossing (Eastbound tandem) in October 2008. Visited QE2 in her new life, in Dubai, in January 2020 and August 2022.

Was wondering about that too. It kinda threw me off when I heard about a duplex on Eight Deck, because Eight Deck was a Crew Only deck during the ship's service life.

Sorry Guys...no deck names have been changed, it’s just my ignorance...we moved cabins yesterday, but are still on the same deck...we had a lovely evening last night, in the Golden Lion and Yacht Club.  We are on the ship all day tonight, with the highlight being dinner in the Queens Grill tonight.

Being on board, seeing all the work going on, I don’t think taking QE2 on would have been for the feint hearted, or anyone without huge investments to make...she’s having a LOT of money spent on her...
