James Gardner with Dennis Lennon was joint design co-ordinator for QE2.  His main responsibility was the exterior of the ship. Also responsible for design of Quarter Deck Pool. 

Born: 1912
Died: 25 March 1995
Educated: Chiswick School of Art

This is a link to Mr Gardner's Obituary, published in the Independent on 28th March 1995.
It was written by Sir Hugh Casson, a good friend of JG, and who was President of the Royal Academy of Art, annd closely linked with both MV Canberra HMY Britannia and QE2!
