QE2 from a distance was a daily view for some” really shows her sheer!

The exaggerated paint line in her bow/forward section  ;) The real sheer whilst significant (from personal experience) was (and still is for that matter) added to with the paint line at her bow/forward section.

First sailed on QE2 in August 2003 aged 6 years old. Last sailed on QE2 in July 2008. Last saw the seagoing QE2 in person from the decks of QM2, on QE2's last Transatlantic crossing (Eastbound tandem) in October 2008. Visited QE2 in her new life, in Dubai, in January 2020 and August 2022.

Only 11 people have voted so far on the QE2 from a distance poll.  QE2 is certainly a distance away from us just now but these wonderful pictures bring her closer to us.  So please have a look, choose your three favourites and vote.

Never before, apart from her 50th anniversary celebration, have we had as many photos (51) in a photo competition.

But we have only 12 voters so far, which means that many of the pictures have not received even a single vote at this time. But we still have a week to go before the end of the month. Please have a look and then show the photographers and their pictures (and above all, QE2!) your love by voting  ;D .

One photo is the clear leader this month (but it is by just two votes).

I wonder will you be selecting the same or a different one?

Still only 16 voters. I hope that more votes will be cast before the end of the month, which is fast approaching...

Please vote.

Please support us by taking 5 minutes to do this, it's fun and the photos are always amazing.  It's an important thing because it "flushes out" lovely photos from our photographers that otherwise may never see the light of day.

Even if you've never entered a photo, and never will, we still want and need your vote and support!

Thank you.
