Just for those of you who haven't been members of the forum from the beginning, this is the topic for the 2009 dry docking, and this is the topic for the 2013 dry docking.  If you want to discuss either of those, please comment on those topics.

The 2009 one was an exciting time for me personally, as the managers of QE2 had made contact with us, and it sounded like QE2 could be returning to the seas.

The 2013 one was an upsetting and concerning time, when I was completely certain that the information being given out wasn't going to come true, which indeed it didn't, as she then sat neglected for the next 30 months or so.

This time I believe is completely different again.  3 different dry-dockings, 3 different teams in charge.  3 different plans.

So great to see her move! She's so majestic and beautiful at sea.

Also comforting that she seems to be in good hands now.

Thank you all for sharing.

Extraordinary to see her out on the water again, doing with the tugs what she has been doing so often, tempting to think that she could be setting out on a long sea voyage again...

This of course is far from routine, something entirely new awaiting her.

Thank you so much for sharing the photos and videos!

I know I'm going to get a bit of Flak here.... but that video reminded me of several clips I've seen of old hulks getting towed off to the scrappers!!!! She looks awful without the lifeboats.....and without smoke from the funnel!!!!
