Hi just trying to navigate the forum and getting my feet wet.. I worked on the QE2 in the 80's for a couple of years. Dennis Dawson was my mentor..so if you knew him you know what kind of training I got..!!!
Oh yes..the best..
I am a very proud ex member of the QE2. And met some amazing people..who I am still in contact with today and I can honestly say they are some of my closest friends..
Obviously I did not like everyone I met and I am sure they did not like me..but the connection was just amazing.
The QE2 is in your blood or it isn't...
Just spent some time on the QM2 out of Melbourne...it doesn't come close to the QE2.  I spent some time as a passenger on The QE2 also..which was awsome...especially after working on her..

There can be a bit of a learning curve with the forum, so if you need help just ask.

Looking forward to hearing more of your memories.  I was on board briefly as a child in the 80s and she blew my mind, then as an adult in 2007 and 2008 (and 2011!), when she did it again.  I agree about QM2 - she's a fabulous creation but...

We have an "introduce yourself" section where you can tell a bit more about yourself if you wish (or we could move this topic into that area for you later if you wish).
