QE2 Model

Hi Everyone

I am former QE2 passenger and also marketer!

I thought I had already posted this but then it disappeared so my apologies if I am repeating myself.

I see the QE2 often when I vist Dubai and although she looks rather forlorn and sad, I hope that she is just asleep, awaiting a new and appropriate future.

In the meantime I have a Cunard originated model of the QE2 which is one of the models which were given to people like me by Cunard.

The perpex case is approximately 6 foot 5 inches wide, 2 foot 5 inches long and 2 foot 9 inches high and the model is approximately 2 feet long.

She is in great condition, but the mast is broken at the base, but easily repairable, but otherwise she is perfect.

I attach an image and can supply more.

We are downsizing so I need to decide to either sell her or keep her, so re selling her, if anyone has any suggestions or interest and price ideas please contact me at johnalwyn-jones@bigpond.com

Welcome to the forum, John! The model is lovely. I personally would try to keep it, but as I am not you, I cannot decide what you do with it. It appears the mast has fallen off?

Would be nice to keep her, but space!?!?

The mast has only broken off at the base and can be easily repaired.

Any suggestions on the best place to post her to sell gratefully received!

Depending on location some forum members may be interested in getting this model. They should privately message you and then you can negotiate. If this fails Ebay is a good place.

This is a lovely QE2  model and as it is in the display case it should attract interest from potential buyers. 

I do not know what the value would be, maybe Robbo would give you an indication as he has purchased one on ebay. 

Have you thought about taking it to an Auction company to ask if they could give you a valuation? or is there companies that specialise in the sale of QE2 items?
