QE2 Chief Engineer 1969 to 1972

Background Served his apprenticeship with Liverpool repairers Charles Howson.

Navy Career
Following his apprenticeship he joined the Commonwealth and Dominion Line (Port Line).
1936:  Joined Cunard White Star Line
1939 - 1945: During WW2 Served with the Royal Naval Reserve.
Returned to Cunard after the war. 
He served as Chief Engineer onboard Queen Mary
1969 appointed as Chief Engineer on QE2.
