I believe there is/was a rope/tackle storage room there.

I am trying to figure out if they've actually used the original blue strip lights, to illuminate the "sails".  It was one of my favourite features of QE2 latterly - the effect seen from outside, and of ashore, was that there was something exciting in that there room.  It made you think funky nightclub.  It was a change from the fuddy-duddy areas.  And everyone seemed to like it, young and old.

It was everything that G32 on QM2 isn't...

The new coat of paint is magnificent, I don’t think she’s ever popped quite as well!
And I have to say I’m warming to the new stern lettering; it certainly gives off a more modern vibe, perfect for her new role in the ever evolving heart of Dubai!
