I like the title he has given to the picture "The old Queen and the new city".  Although she may be old but she is beautiful!
I am proud to be involved with planning QE2's 50 year conference in September 2017 in Clydebank

Great photo.  QE2 may be old in years for a ship, but she is so very beautiful and Forever Queen of the Seas !  She very much looks young at heart !

Strangely enough, I had read the title quite differently. I understood "old" to be a compliment, a sign of attractiveness, just as we seek out the old treasures when we visit a city as tourists. Dubai does not have anything much old to offer, as far as I know, so the acquisition of QE2 gives it something to boast about (even though, in art or architecture terms, QE2 of course has many years ahead of her before she becomes an antique)!

As much as I, like many, still and will forever wish she stayed in Southampton, this picture gives me absolute faith that, when ready, she'll have a wonderful life in Dubai. Really reminds me of this guy named William Barney: he's done EXQUISITE pictures of Titanic II that look so realistic that you'd think they were one of the official released photographs.

Hey June - the combination of Age and Beauty of most people / ships can be much more appealing than many might guess!
Happy New Year!

Yes!!! Excellent to see at last. I think around the area of the Queens Room, and some lights in the area of the Lido too!
