I don't particularly like those lights either, but at least our QE2 is lit.  :)

They've created an al fresco terrace haven't they?

That's what it looks like to me too Peter. I wonder if they'll do the same on the port side too - perhaps install large sliding doors or similar to permit access.

I am in agreement about not re-instating the actual Lookout Bar but perhaps removal of "the box" to create a full width terrace?

They'll know what they're doing so I await with interest.....

There's hardly any space there, I stood there in Dubai.

She is looking cleaner?
No one can deny, she’s a remarkable looking ship.
Maybe someday, like the Titanic being built (albeit inland), someone will build a decent replica with the necessary interior designs in order that her famous profile will be seen as she rides the oceans of the world. Perhaps not in my lifetime. But, I live in hope.

Thanks for the photos, and the video too!

Great to see.  Did you gather any information while there?

You and that ship have such a huge amount of shared history, which of course includes her time in Dubai.

Thank you for the photos! Does she look a bit pink up top?

I too would love to hear what other information you may have picked up.

It should do, its been there long enough ;), and it was put in place by the good ship yard builders of Scotland
Where as the present foreign names , are painted on, probably with some cheap paint and by a low paid worker... and how long will that last l ask myself.
