The theme for the December competition "Behind the scenes: Photos off the public spaces" was chosen by Hamburger, the winner of the September competition.

Thank you to everyone who submitted pictures, which we really appreciate, and we hope that you enjoy choosing your 3 favourites.

Voting is easy, but you need to be a Forum member and log into the Forum to vote.  Whether or not you have submitted photos, please support those who have participated, by choosing your three favourite ones, noting the details, then tick the relevant box on the poll.  Please do not vote for your own photos, if you have entered some.

To make it easier for you we have posted the pictures below, however you can also view the photos in the Gallery, where you can see them all at once, in thumbnail form, plus you can view larger versions of the pictures by clicking on the photo to see medium size, then click again, to see them in large size.

Go to the Gallery Album "Behind the Scenes: Photos off the public spaces".

You will not see the outcome until after voting has closed on 1 February 2018, giving all time zones the chance to catch up with the voting deadline.

As always the choice is yours - enjoy!

The prize this month is the Souvenir Book "World Cruise 1977 information guide"

I remember seeing the cat on the bridge, it lived there 24/7  ;)
First sailed on QE2 in August 2003 aged 6 years old. Last stepped foot and sailed on QE2 in July 2008. Last saw the seagoing QE2 in person from the decks of QM2, on QE2's last Transatlantic crossing (Eastbound tandem) in October 2008. Visited QE2, in her new life, in Dubai back in January 2020.

Don't miss out on the fun of casting your ballot.  Just think, it might be the deciding vote.  The photo competition is a wonderful way of "communing" with QE2 each month and seeing the selection of marvelous photos that have been taken of our girl over the years !   :) :)

I truly don't care which one wins; they're all wonderful photos and I hope to see as many of them as possible.

I hope that does not prevent you from casting your vote?

Oh no, I did! I voted for the July 2005 photo of QE2 going 28.3 knots because I'm fast and I like fast and I ran sub-40 seconds in the 300m yesterday, finishing fourth to varsity guys (and because we really don't see that speed much anymore). :D
