Poll for the September Photo Competition "Ropes"
« on: Oct 01, 2017, 09:37 PM »
The theme for the September competition "Ropes" was chosen by Cruise QE2.

Thank you to everyone who submitted pictures, which we really appreciate, and we hope that you enjoy choosing your 3 favourites.

Voting is easy but you need to be a Forum member and log into the Forum to vote.  Even if you have not submitted photos, please support those who have participated, by choosing your three favourite ones, noting the details, then tick the relevant box on the poll.  But if you have submitted photos please do not vote for the photos you have entered.

To make it easier for you we have posted the pictures below, however you can also view the photos in the Gallery, where you can see them all at once, in thumbnail form, plus you can view larger versions of the pictures by clicking on the photo to see medium size, then click again, to see them in large size.

Go to the Gallery Album "Ropes"

You will not see the results until after the voting has closed on 1 November 2017, giving all time zones the chance to catch up with the voting deadline.

As always the choice is yours enjoy!

One of the toughest choices, I thought. Great collection of photos, and great to see how many types of ropes were used on QE2, and in how many parts of the ship!

Ten people have voted so far and it is obvious that it is a difficult decision to choose as the votes are close.

I have voted but could have changed my choice many times as there are so many excellent pictures.

Have voted. I often wondered when I saw people taking pics "Why on earth are you taking a pic of that/them etc?"  Well looking at the entries there some really good pics in there.

Just to nit-pick though......some pics are of wires not ropes!   KIDDING!

Voted at last!! it really has been for me the hardest choice in all the photo comps to date, well done everybody, I think the images would make a calander  in their own rite.
Completely off topic , my 1001st post , what to say except :      1001 thanks to Rob & the Mods who keep this site running,  1001 thanks for that magnificent event last month,  1001 thanks to the friends made on this forum,   1001 thanks to the great Lady languishing out in the desert without whom, all this wouldn't be happening.           1001 hopes that she makes it...........
Could go on for too long here( not like me),

If you have not voted, please do and enjoy the marvelous photos of QE2 and her "Ropes" while selecting your three favorite photos.

23 voters still, and a clear winner far ahead of the fleet...

Three or four photos contending for runner-up status, so there is much still to get excited about. Every vote counts!

Some might say we are lucky to get 23 voters. If nothing else what could be easier than voting on a selection of 3 photos.
But l agree..  You can tow a ship into a harbour, but a pencil must be lead :-\

Though l must confess, if it wasnt for the prompts im not sure id remember, it seems like only last month we were voting.
