Just scanned (and more importantly digitised and archived) the rest of my disposable film camera photos from this voyage...my Dad took some of the photos such as these two of me and my Mum playing table tennis in better times, just outside the Grand Lounge on Upper Deck.

First sailed on QE2 in August 2003 aged 6 years old. Last sailed on QE2 in July 2008. Last saw the seagoing QE2 in person from the decks of QM2, on QE2's last Transatlantic crossing (Eastbound tandem) in October 2008. Visited QE2 in her new life, in Dubai, in January 2020 and August 2022.

Fantastic to think you took this picture when you were so young and the memory survives through the photo.
I was proud to be involved with planning QE2's 50 year conference in September 2017 in Clydebank

Just rediscovered some photos of us that we bought onboard on this first trip, whilst sorting/clearing during moving home, contained in a folder marking QE2's farewell full-time transatlantic season before QM2 took over the mantle.

We've also rediscovered brochures from QE2's final season and daily programmes etc etc from more of our voyages - all added to my QE2 archive!

It's a long running family thing that my Dad is a Dustin Hoffman lookalike! He has also been stared at or otherwise mistaken for him onboard the ships and in New York!

Lovely family photos Thomas, especially the one with Captain McNaught.  I like how you are dressed for the occasion with the black bow tie.
