July 2017 -- QE2 crew having fun
« on: Jul 02, 2017, 12:54 AM »
This month's theme is " QE2 crew having fun", chosen by Cruiseqe2, the winner of the April competition.

This should bring some amusing moments!

The prize this month is the set of QM2 stamps from the Isle of Man, donated by Lynda Bradford.

Alternatively, June Ingram is offering a jigsaw of the prizewinning picture. The choice is yours -- which will it be?

The album is open -  so now is the time to look for your most interesting pictures on this theme. Wishing you happy memories as you search your photo collection to find up to three pictures to upload to the competition album.

This link will take you straight there : QE2 crew having fun.

If you have not uploaded photos to the Forum Gallery before, have a look at these instructions, and if you have any problems, just contact us on admin@theqe2story.com. You could even email the photos to this address, and we can upload them for you.

The deadline for submitting photos is 31 July 2017. Voting will run from 1 August 2017 until 31 August 2017.

We look forward to seeing your photos in this month's competition.

This is the eleventh month of photos for the 2018 calendar. Maybe your photo will figure there!

Enjoy yourselves!  :)

As things stand at the moment, (Fri 7th July), I stand a 50:50 chance of winning this months competition! Come on! I'm sure there must be more suitable photos out there! Search through your files! Looking forward to seeing the competition!

I'm sure I've got some good ones, I'll have a rummage this weekend.
I'm sure the crew themselves have some unpublishable ones too!

Even your Dubai one would make good entries!

I don't have any photos that fit this month's theme but hope that some of the crew who are on the forum can upload their photos.

I was just thinking as I looked through my old photos of this.  The high service levels of QE2's crew, meant that they were rarely seen having fun!  They were discrete and most of the crew fun was out of site to the passengers.  And unfortunately as we've heard many times, most of the crew back then were simply at work, so weren't taking photos.  I'm sure there must be some, though, of crew parties etc...

The crews in Dubai, of course, didn't have to worry about the passengers...

Behind closed doors... but the music was great!  :)

The crew parties had their formal side as well, it wasnt ALL drinking, though judging by the cans on the table.... ;) ;)

And the dresses and styles were even better than those at the formal events for the passengers... and of course, most of the crew were young and good-looking!
