Queen Victoria in Geirangerfjord
« on: May 19, 2017, 01:13 PM »
Hi everyone, as we are all aware Queen Victoria is having a refit which will change her profile. We have sailed with her many times and she became the favourite of my wife. I have just completed a video of her cruising Geirangerfjord in 2016 and toward the end there are views of her stern, she looked good in this beautiful setting. I hope that you will agree, it can be viewed here on my youtube channel amshipnshore.

Hi Alan -

Thanks very for making and sharing this superb video of QV in Geirangerfjord. As are all of your videos, it is very well put together and it captures both the peacefulness as well as the grandeur and majesty of the location. The music is also thoughtfully chosen.

Geirangerfjord is one of my favourite places and you video captures the beauty of the place. The magic of the harp music was just perfect to capture the beauty and tranquility of the scene.

Like you I preferred the stepped stern and I do think the recent conversion takes away that little bit of her identity.
I am proud to be involved with planning QE2's 50 year conference in September 2017 in Clydebank

What a lovely video (and so well edited) :) The Norwegian Fjords are spectacular and your video shows Gerainger Fjord to its best. I'm afraid I've got to disagree with you though - not even that setting could make Vicky "look good"!  :P

I forgot to add that it's only when you see Nordstjenner that you realise how big Vicky actually is!
