Poll for the March Photo Competition "QE2 at Speed"
« on: Mar 31, 2017, 10:50 AM »
The theme for the March competition "QE2 at Speed" was chosen by Skilly56  the winner of the December competition and although we have not had as many entries as we would have liked, there are still some magnificent photos.

Thank you to everyone who submitted pictures, which we really appreciate, and we hope that you enjoy choosing your 3 favourites.

Voting is easy but you need to be a Forum member and log into the Forum to vote.  Even if you have not submitted photos, please support those who have participated, by choosing your three favourite ones, noting the details, then tick the relevant box on the poll.  But if you have submitted photos please do not vote for the photos you have entered.

To make it easier for you we have posted the pictures below, however you can also view the photos in the Gallery, where you can see them all at once, in thumbnail form, plus you can view larger versions of the pictures by clicking on the photo to see medium size, then click again, to see them in large size.

Go to the Gallery Album QE2 at Speed.

The prize this month is  the book "RMS Queen Elizabeth 2" by Janette McCutcheon, donated by Isabelle.

You will not see the results until after the voting has closed on 1 May 2017, giving all time zones the chance to catch up with the voting deadline.

A difficult but enjoyable choice this month!

Voting for the March photo competition "QE2 at Speed" is now open.  We may not have had as many entries for this competition but the photos as well worth a vote.

  • At Mach 2 three days after being on QE2...
Well, that's my vote in for this month.

Even with so few entries it's not exactly straightforward to make the choice, especially when it comes to casting the 3rd vote...

I just voted and it was a very difficult decision to make in some ways.  But, after looking at the photos several times, my choices jumped out at me.

Many thanks to all who submitted photos of our beloved QE2 doing what she does best !

If you have not already voted, please join those of us who have !   :)

18 votes now. Please take a moment to enjoy these photos -- there are not so many this month, and it might just be a bit easier to decide on the three you like best :) .

Thank you  :-* .

My prize for this competition has just arrived! June, I am so happy to have received the jigsaw which you donated, with the photo "Speeding along in comfort" which Lynda kindly made available for the piece.

A lot of work was involved (including some design work by Bob van Leeuwen) in getting the jigsaw prepared, made and sent.

Big thanks to all involved, and above all to June :) .
