5 voters to go to make it 30 by the end of the month :) .

Can we get there?

So many aspects in these pictures that have made QE2 a legendary ship... I wonder which of them speaks to you most?

Hmm
How many members on here ?
How many are active members on here ?
How many look on here every month ?
How many look on here every week ?
How many look on here every day ?
How many are registered but look on here in private ?
How many took time to order a calendar ?
How many take the time to actually submit a photo ?
How many take the minute or so, to sit on their arse, look at the photos and decide, Thats the pics lm voting on

If you ask me 25....ok its 25 votes, but it could be a hell of a lot more
WHERE ARE THEY  ?

I would seriously like to think we can get more than that  >:(
Anyone else share the same view about the poor number of voters :o
From the moment you first glimpsed the Queen,

I don't know why people can't take 5 minutes to vote in the photo competition, I really don't. I guess people are just busy and take it all for granted.  That's why I'm also not surprised that only 7 people have donated this year to keep the site afloat - without their donations, I'd have had to give up.

I can give you figures for most of these things you ask, but some are harder than others to be precise about.  Undoubtedly a huge amount of people don't log in at all, but do read the site, but I can tell you that many hundreds HAVE logged in during 2016.

All I can say is that I am a member of a forum for my Classic Mini hobby.  I've not been on it for months (but when I have a problem or need to find something out, I will).  My interest level (and time available) varies based on what's happening in my life.  For many people with an interest in QE2 (but its just one of their interests) it will be the same.  For many the drip-drip of photos etc. on Facebook will be enough, but doesn't provide a lasting legacy for a ship like we do here.

What I would like to focus on is the serious QE2 enthusiasts, the die-hards, and the experts and former crew etc.  They really should be here, the only site on the internet totally dedicated to their ship since 2009.
Passionate about QE2's service life for 40 years and creator of this website.  I have worked in IT for 28 years and created my personal QE2 website in 1994.

Rob, I'm one of those people who rarely sign in both because of my businesses and the civic duties I've undertaken  in Lexington and Dayton. I'm lucky if I get to read the forum a couple of times each week. Although I usually plan to vote at the end of each month, I'm guilty of missing a couple of months over the past year. And as I last donated to this website last December, I can be faulted for not donating in 2016. Having made over fifty five voyages on QE2, you could say that I'm extremely interested in her history and her fate - my travels to Dubai and private conversations with her owners have left me encouraged in her future! I do like your mini website by the way - one civic activity I've recently undertaken was to become the treasurer of the Society for the Preservation of British Transportation in America and their new fledgling museum in Dayton with a collection of over fifty vehicles. So my plate is full and sometimes I'm stretched too tine but I still try!

We finally managed 27 votes :) . In December, we need to aim for at least 31!

Congratulations to the winner, Cunarder Man with "A True Legend", and the runner-up, Pete Hamill, for "Symmetry".

Both wonderful pictures illustrating the QE2 Legend!
