September 2016 : QE2 external features (closed)

This month's theme is "QE2 external features", chosen by Stowaway 2k, the winner of the June competition.

Lots of choice there, from the huge to the tiny! We should have a wonderful collection on this theme by the end of the month.

The prize this month is the book "Through the Lens", donated by the author, the QE2 photographer John Jochimsen.

The album is open -  so now is the time to look for your most interesting pictures on this theme. Wishing you happy memories as you search your photo collection to find up to three pictures to upload to the competition album.

The deadline for submitting photos is 30 September 2016. Voting will run from 1 October 2016 until 31 October 2016.

I have uploaded my three photos for the photo competition QE2 external features.  I was so glad that I took time to look for photos for this month's competition as it gave me an opportunity to remember the wonderful external features that we took for granted as we walked around QE2.

It also reminded me that I should have taken so many more photos!   I thought I had a photo of the door with the porthole, but could not find it.  I also thought I had a photo of the bench with Cunard written on it but maybe I have just seen other photos of these features. 

You still have time to enter your three best photos for this month's competition before midnight on 30 September.  Also, as Isabelle has mentioned, the winning photo of the September competition will be included in the 2018 Calendar.
