It's very difficult to look at many of them - progressively now - they hold so little hope for QE2.
Am I the only one who scans now with dread - and more dread even, for her?
To think that the only power there is for the 'bling' external lighting that the once great ship QE2 was never ever meant to display;
it seems uncertain whether to smile at the thought that it confirms that she exists (albeit as a representation of her former self)
or whether to weep - so sad does she look.
To keep QE2 well in mind - it seems more important now to think of how she was built, how she was home to so many of her crew,
and of course of the reminders to those of us who knew her as her passengers.
I found these today - hopefully they, like all the other photos will last as great reminders - perhaps for ever!
