Photo of the month competition - instructions on how to vote for your favourite photo

The theme for the November competition was "Views of and across the foredeck", chosen by Cunarder Man, the winner of the September competition.

Thank-you to everyone who submitted photos, which we really appreciate and we hope that you enjoy choosing your 3 favourite photos

Voting is easy but you need to be a forum member and log into the forum to vote.  Even if you have not submitted photos please support those who have participated by choosing your three favourite photos, noting the details then tick the relevant box on the poll.  But if you have submitted photos please do not vote for the photos you have entered.

To make it easier for you we have posted the photos below, however you can also view the photos in the Gallery  where you can see them all at once, in thumbnail form plus you can view larger versions of the pictures by clicking on the photo to see medium size, then click again, to see them in large size. Go to Gallery Album

The prize for the winner will be the book The British Cruise Ship by Ian Collard , donated by Rob Lightbody and currently selling at Amazon UK for GBP 18.94.

Alternatively, June Ingram has offered as a prize the jigsaw version of the winning photo. It will be interesting to see which is preferred!

You will not see the results until after the voting has closed on 1 January 2016 giving other time zones the chance to catch up with the voting deadline.

Please enjoy viewing these fantastic photos and thank-you for voting.  :)

I found this the hardest topic to vote on EVER, so many fine images I personally think a calander could be made from this topic alone, tomorrow I might choose a different list, thank you Everybody who posted, I wish I had something to present , but didn't :'(
BTW my new years resolution is almost complete I've voted every month & guess what next years is going to be---- the people who contribute deserve recognition , give'em a vote........................................

Can forum member let me know if you uploaded a photo named "Sidney Panorama" then deleted the photo from the Gallery.

I work on the poll over a couple of days and when copying the names of the photos for the poll there was a "Sidney Panorama" photo however I have just noticed that it is missing, so it must have been removed between setting up the poll and copying the photo addresses to this topic.

I do not know who originally uploaded the photo but if the person can contact me to confirm they want the photo removed so that I can remove the title from the poll.

Thanks

My votes have been cast.  It seems to be increasingly more difficult with each photo competition to decide on just three photos.  All of the photos are magnificent and as time goes by, it becomes more and more poignant.

If you have not yet cast your votes, please do so.  It supports the contestants and it is also a wonderful journey down memory lane.

Two pictures are running neck-and-neck. Your vote might make all the difference!

And of course, the photographers are happy for their pictures to be recognised in this knowledgeable forum :) .

  • At Mach 2 three days after being on QE2...
I voted the day it opened - as always.

Is it possible to set the page so that it can show how many people have voted, I wonder?

This is a really interesting month, with several leaders having been overtaken as voting continues. There are still about half-a-dozen photos contending for top place! Every vote counts :) .

Well, that was a close result! Congratulations to all four of the leaders in this competition, each of whom were in the lead at some stage until the stroke of midnight, so to speak, when the votes were final.

One of the things I enjoyed in this competition, was that it allowed us to look at the details of the foredeck, with some of the changes over the years apparent.

Another great collection of pictures in the Forum -- with thanks to all who contributed!
