Awesome !! And many thanks to the committee and everyone working on the event.  Interesting that there was the short delay in tickets going up for purchase, very much like  QE2 herself !   :)

What number are we at now ?   :)

Yes Robbo we have 200 tickets to sell.

Good start yesterday selling 94 tickets, which was brilliant!  :)

A little reminder of the lovely historic venue for the conference at Clydebank Town Hall.

Tickets for the QE2 50 Year Anniversary Conference are still available.  Sales have been going well, but please get yours now if you plan to attend and have not already done so.  Tickets are limited so don't be disappointed.

The good news is that the Clydebank Post published an article about the conference this week.   :)

The bad news is they used a picture of another Cunard ship and they named the wrong venue.  :'(  I have written to the journalist to point this out and to let him know that we can provide photos of QE2 if required.  I am hoping the paper will publish a correction next week.

The Clydebank Post reporter has amended the news article about the conference with the correct venue details and a photo of QE2 launch.

Good article, and great to make sure the Clydebank people feel invited and welcome!

Lynda, could you now perhaps get Rob's comment removed, as the paper has made the corrections he asked for?

Deleted!

I do despair about Clydebank though. How could anyone possibly think that ship was the famous old beauty launched 50 years ago...

Ticket sales have continued to do well, and are not far off 75% tickets sold, which is a fantastic result given that the tickets have only been on sale for a couple of weeks.

We hope to meet up with lots of forum members at the conference and the weekend event that Rob is planning.

Our next committee meeting is 10 February, when we have lots to discuss, including the sale of the QE2 50 year badges.
