The first time i walked up the gangway in 1990, that first smell, first feeling i felt home straight away.

Once in a lifetime…

Swimming before dinner every evening, and relishing it…

Wearing elegant outfits night after night, and enjoying it...

Eating in a top class restaurant day after day and night after night, and tucking in…

Finding my bed turned up, with a little chocolate, night after night…

There are so many other once in a lifetime memories of our time on the QE2, so many things that we never did before and never did again. This makes the memories all the happier -- it was a special time, quite outside our normal world, a time to remember with gratitude.

It started as once in a lifetime . . . .

What a habit it became.

What a ship.

What memories.
