Now about 85% finished.....  Won't get any time tomorrow, but Sunday is looking good to finish it.

'tis done.  :)

That last 15% took only about an hour's work.  Photos to follow midweek.

Meanwhile..... now is the time to seriously look at where she is off to next....

First picture... this is just a test to check I've re-sized it properly because it's the first one I've done on Photoshop - my old computer had PhotoPlus 4 instead and the processes are slightly different...  If it works, the rest will follow in a few minutes...

Well done Peter.  Good to see the refit is complete and she is ready for sea trials and onto the next location.   :)

The jigsaw is back in the box and is awaiting navigational instructions.

Hi Peter -

Great work on QE2's (jigsaw) refit and thanks for posting the photos.  QE2 looks great in the jigsaw as she always does whether in real life or in jigsaw life.  I am sure she has enjoyed her time in your shipyard and now is looking forward to her next voyage and subsequent refit.

Peter, have a look here :

https://www.theqe2story.com/forum/index.php/topic,7016.msg75233.html#msg75233

Looks like the next person on the list is Pete Cain. Could you ask him whether he and Mrs Pete and Jim would like to take it now, or later?

I am still working on "Evening at sea", so if Pete is not ready for this jigsaw, the next person would be June.

June, I have updated the list a bit, but am not sure whether it is complete...

Hi Isabelle -

Thanks very much for updating the list. It looks to be correct.

I currently have QE2 (jigsaw) Farewell Liverpool moored at my shipyard awaiting refit so perhaps Pete, Mrs. Pete and Jim would like to be next or the person after me.

June  :)

A PM has been sent to establish whether or not there is a berthing slot currently available at the Cain International Shipyard...

Inspite of the recent failure of above mentioned shipyard to complete refit of Liverpool jigsaw, tender has been accepted for Pride of the Clyde  to enter vacant berth, contracts have been signed & workforce await eagerly the arrival, a bit tense down here , it's seen as a make or break contract , a bit worrying is the absence of shipyard mascot , last heading out of the door muttering 'oh no not again , must be barking mad' or something of the like ::)

Hi Pete -

I think shipyard mascot, Jim, was heading out the door to make a Transatlantic to check out the progress of QE2's (jigsaw) refit at Pier 352 at Ingram Shipbuilding.  He will indeed be busy dividing his time between the two yards, but he did seem rather excited about it.  He should be making a return about the time of arrival of QE2 (jigsaw) to Cain International Shipyard.

Departure from Epsom will be made this week, probably Wednesday or Thursday, in a tandem sailing with the older jigsaw that is returning to its home port.

And arrived out of a grey Cumbrian squall, ahed of schedule, taking staff by surprise , the local pilot (postman ) was off duty & the reserve did a masterly job of berthing safe & sound, just waiting Customs clearance (i/e daring to unpack & start)

Sorry, did I forget to mention that all nine engines were running for this trip?
