interesting QE2 images from Japanese websites
« on: Jul 02, 2009, 07:26 PM »
(i hope this is in the right place)

(This thread is the result of me being bored and randomly searching for random stuff on Google - like QE2's name in Japanese)

Anyway here's some interesting stuff I found.

Some kind of scupture. Made with cardboard - I think.

one of the cookies is in the shape of the QE2. if reading the text on the page tells me so.

^ from: here
an artist's perspective of how a humanized personification of the QE2 would look like.
This is one of my favourite pictures and has been desktop background material for almost two years already.

(I actually can't read Japanese, but I got bored some years ago and went to find out what QE2's name was in Japanese.)

Is that QE2 or a Carivore concept model for the new Queen Elizabeth?

It's supposed to be QE2. At least that's what the website says. My knowledge of the Japanese language extends to knowing what the ships' names are in said language.

EDIT: I realised I wasn't too clear in my first post.

I believe that is one of Nakheel's models of the "restoration" of the QE2 in Dubai.    :o:P
