Hi June, just clocking in before flying out to Oz (tomorrow), & just seen this post, it's a real nice gesture(others will have to pass comment), however, Jim puzzles me every day, will hopefully post piccy tomorrow of ever so slow progress on jigsaw before I set off.....

Hi Pete -

Thanks for your message.  Have a great trip and I hope that the weather cooperates.  Let's see how many votes Jim gets for mascot, but I kind of think he will be unanimously elected to that position.  Looking forward to seeing more pictures.  My best to Mrs. Pete and Jim.

June   :)

I think so too. If he puzzles you every day, he is made to be the ideal jigsaw mascot!

Flying to Oz, eh? Wishing you safe and pleasant travels, and looking forward to hearing about your time down under...

Here's this mornings offering,  walked in & found that he had adopted the foot stool (cannot have been all that comfortable), however  it was the sun what did it for him.

Hi Pete -

Thanks for the great picture of Jim, The QE2 Story Jigsaw Club Mascot.  He knows his importance, so he has moved up to a higher vantage point !  He is marvelous !

I think we now have 5 QE2 Story Jigsaw Club jigsaws out there (correct me if I am wrong).

Just wondering if our Mascot, Jim, is overseeing any refits for any of the jigsaws ?  I understand he has returned from vacation and is in fine form to asssist as needed.

Our mascot, Jim, has announced that as cooler weather is beginning here in the Northern Hemisphere (see Jim in photo above), it is time that our thoughts turn to doing QE2 refits (jigsaws).

We have five jigsaws now - check out the topics in The QE2 Jigsaws in the Community area.

There is a list being compiled for circulation in the UK and in the US.  Isabelle and Lachlan have voiced interest in doing a refit after appropriate dredging of docking facilities is completed.

There is also a general list of interested persons.  Should we start a circulation list for each of the five jigsaws ?

That would be good.

Once everyone who was interested in the crossing and the cruising QE2 (two jigsaws dating back to 1969) has had the chance to refit her to the best possible standard, she might like to return to her home port for a bit of a rest...

I very much enjoyed meeting Jim (and Pete) yesterday in the lake district, as well as one of our very first members, 'singlemalt ali'.

Jim looked sensational in his wooly jumper and was getting lots of attention!

Wonderful! There is something very special about any Forum meets! And even Jim taking part, lending his presence  ;D .

Glad to see Ali again... missing her cheerful contributions here... :) .

Jim in his red wooly jumper is a wonderful image for our mascot. Maybe we could superimpose the QE2 50 year logo on his wooly jumper!  :)
I was proud to be involved with planning QE2's 50 year conference in September 2017 in Clydebank
