Ever heard of a ''Virtual Balcony Stateroom''

Well until today I hadn't , apparently you can be lucky enough to buy one  of these for the duration of your holiday  on board the brand new    ANTHEM OF THE SEAS  courtesy of Royal Caribbean International.
' Virtual Balcony is an interior stateroom with an 80'' LED screen on the wall showing realtime exterior views '(apparently).
Please bring back QE2 with her old tellys showing the bow shot, nothing virtual there it was real!

Surely there is no difference between a small TV showing a live bow shot and a large TV showing a live side view out?

Having said that... I don't think I'd go for it; I'd still want to be in an outside cabin if I wanted a sea view.  I'd want to look through a porthole / window ( preferably the former! ) and see it with my own eyes.

As to having these huge TVs in every inside cabin, I wonder how much energy - and hence extra fuel consumption - this idea will result in?
