Queen Elizabeth and Queen Mary 5 February 2015

Queen Elizabeth spent the day with the legendary Queen Mary on 5 February 2015. This was the first time a Cunard ship had gone alongside in Long Beach since Queen Mary arrived at her retirement home in October 1967. In recent years the current Cunard fleet has saluted Queen Mary during brief visits to the harbour.

Excellent! Great to see the pictures.

I imagine the QE passengers enjoyed the opportunity to visit the best accessible showpiece of the Cunard heritage. Presumably they had a few lectures to prepare them for the day.

No, these were taking in January 2014. Coming back from Catalina Island.
I was booked onto the Queen Mary for a nights stay.
