I enjoyed viewing the various videos on QE2's final call to Sydney in 2008
I was proud to be involved with planning QE2's 50 year conference in September 2017 in Clydebank

Queen Elizabeth 2 looking elegant with lights on taken at 4:38 am on the 25th of February 2008
on her final morning at Circular Quay, Sydney before her departure later that day.

A some more pictures of her last visit to Sydney. This was when she passed Queen Victoria with hundreds of
small craft and lots of helicopters overhead watching on a beautiful afternoon.
It was a great way for Sydney to farewell Queen Elizabeth 2

I am sure it was a very memorable day for you, and you really caught her so well, from several different angles and at different times of day. A bittersweet moment though I imagine...

It was very memorable time but also very sad to think she would never return to Sydney Harbour again.
I have sailed from Sydney a number of times on Queen Elizabeth 2 and other ships but there
was something special about traveling on QE2.

I miss seeing her beautiful profile arriving on what was always a February morning in Sydney at the mid
point of her World Cruise usually surrounded by many small boats.
