My 2014 Experience of Cunard 2014
« on: Nov 20, 2014, 11:06 PM »
Good Evening Everyone.

I should have published this message last week, but I just didn't have time due to all of the college/photography work that I have had to catch up with.

I am happy to announce that during the course of this year, I have managed to visit all three of Cunard's CURRENT Ships.

Thursday 2nd January 2014, Queen Elizabeth in Gibraltar (a number of people saw my little article that I published)
Wednesday 6th August 2014, Queen Victoria in Gibraltar
&
Tuesday 4th November 2014, Queen Mary 2 in Southampton

I had an email from QE2's ver last master, Captain Ian McNaught last week, after I sent him a letter and in his email he wrote "like the rest of us, you have been bitten by the bug" referring to how much the dream of wanting to be on Cunard for a cruise or as a future employee. I say that he is right.
After I visited Queen Mary 2, which was the most recent, I has made my dream of wanting to work for Cunard Line even more desirable. I literally had my breath taken away from the time I stepped off the gangway and boarded the magnificent ship to the time I left the cruise terminal.

I have got several Contacts for people at Cunard already, but if anyone knows any key people who I could try to get in contact with, to help me try and pursue my dream of wanting to work for Cunard, I would very much appreciate it.

Attached with this message are couple of photos of me onboard QM2.

Hi Tom,

Good to hear from you again, and welcome back! Looks like you have definitely been bitten by the bug, and I am sure if you follow your heart as you have done so far, you will get where you want to get.

I really like hearing from you whenever you have had another adventure or another achievement -- do keep letting us know and showing us your photos. By the way, you look very smart :) .

Hi Tom
Good luck in wanting to join Cunard at Sea, a good start, obviously, is the recruitment section on Cunards web page.
You have done very well with the Ship visits, No one looks after a visitor like Cunard !
Do keep us updated on your experiences and hopefully you will soon be sailing the high seas with Cunard
Happy Sailing
Myles
From the moment you first glimpsed the Queen,
you just knew you were in for a very special time ahead.!

Which department do you want to work in?
If you are interested in Marine / Tech then I highly recommend visiting: www.officercadet.com - I write on there under the same name.
You can PM me if you want an insight into the marine side - I started as a Cadet with Cunard and was there to Chief Officer.
